Upcoming - RLD Treatments

During the month of April 2019 I will be attending a course on Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage.

The aim of this therapy is to stimulate the function of the lymphatic system and drain excess lymph from the damaged area. This is done using a problem specific reflexology technique. On this course I will be taught particular Reflexology techniques for lymphatic drainage via the feet.

What Does This Treatment Involve?

During an RLD treatment you will be sitting in a reclining chair and I will, as your therapist, will place precise pressure and massage specific areas of your feet. There is no discomfort or pain, but you may feel some points I am touching are more sensitive than others.

Each treatment should last from 30 to 45 minutes and is recommended to be carried out every week for 4-6 sessions to start with.

What is Lymphedema?

Lymphedema also known as lymphoedema and lymphatic edema, is a condition of localised fluid retention and tissue swelling caused by a compromised lymphatic system, which normally returns interstitial fluid to the bloodstream.

How Can RLD Help You?

  • Visible Reduced Swelling
  • Less Pain and Discomfort
  • A Positive Feeling of Overall Wellbeing and Improved Body Image
  • Experience Strength and Mobility of The Arm or Leg.

If you or someone you know is suffering from Lymphedema and with the approval from their doctor, I will be looking for case studies May/June 2019 within the Wokingham, Earley, Twyford and Bracknell areas.
